Pink Cat Studio Release!!!!

Happy Thursday!!! Today is so beautiful outside,

it's still quite crisp but the sun is shining! 

I have love spring blossoms filling my yard with color...

Melissa newest release from the Pink Cat Studio

When Melissa sent me these, I got an idea and just ran with it.

It's a May Day Basket using the freebie Flower Pot with today's purchase:

The basket stands about 7 inches tall from the base to the top of handle and 5 inches wide.
The container inside is 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. 

I printed the image off twice after creating a mirror image with Photoshop.

After coloring I attached each image to two more pieced of card stock for stability 

and cut out. The container is trough like I cut out a 8 1/4 x 2 3/4 strip of paper

and scored down the length of both side in 1/8 in. 

I also scored the width at 3 1/2  and 4 3/4, 

at these score lines I made snips that met up with the length wise score lines.

Make sense?

I attached the container about 1/8th of an inch from the base

using a glue based adhesive. It's narrow at the bottom but widens like a v

towards the top. 

It's plenty big because of the depth of the container.

As an after thought I found a bunch of Bloomin Doodles rub-ons. 

I even placed them on the buttons for fun.

The handle is very basic, its a 12 in by 2 1/2 strip with a 12 x  3/4 in strip and 

layered again with a 12 inches strip of ribbon.

To conceal the frayed edges of the ribbon I affixed 

a solid black floral die cut that emulated the flowers in the digi

and topped it off with a button.

I apologize for not snapping pictures, that is so much easier to follow vs my blabbering!

Living The Charmed Life

Hello and Happy Wednesday to you! 

So, can you guess what Crystal has in mind this week for the

Your Next Stamp Challenge? 

That's right, we want to see charms! 

I created a card using Fairy Fhiona :

I used the traditional metal charm ( the tiny Lady Bug) since I had some on 

on hand, otherwise I would have figured out a way to create on of my own.

The dt came up with some great brainstorming ideas such as: shrink plastic, 

die cut  from an aluminum can to make a charm, use a lovely bead or button. 

How would you make a charm when you didn't have any on hand?

It's Thursday! This means my kiddos have Friday and Monday off, YIPPEE...I think!

I have a card to share today that coincides with my mood, 

today I don't want to be challenged! LOL!!!

Lucky for me I don't plan on going anywhere today 

so my chances of opposition is minut

I am on the 9 day countdown until my DH and I leave

for vacation...we aren't taking the kiddos! 

My amazing mom is coming to live at my house, 

she never hesitates to help us out, she is amazing!

it is so tart and sugary sweet! My neighbor happens to have a Sour Cherry Tree

so it's about time to go over there with a few jars and ask permission

It's Monday!

Today is this first day of total calendar craziness for the next 3 months. Why? 

This year all 3 of our kids will be playing ball which means non packed action...

OMW what have we gotten ourselves into! My youngest has been waiting 3 years to be able to play T-ball and now it's his turn & I think he's very excited. Play Ball!

Sugar Makes Me Smile...

So next to caffeine which I have been unhooked from for several months now,

sugar is my second hitch in life and I can honestly say

It Makes Me Smile!

It comes it so many amazing colors shapes and forms,

never leaving me disappointed. 

The Your Next Stamp set Ellie loves to Bake also makes me smile,

 all the images are so cute!

I am proud to say I used every stamp in this set.

The rolling pin, and Gingerbread Cookie 

were used to create a backdrop and the rest are self explanatory.

It's Friday! How does that make you feel? Well I feel great! 

I wanted to share a card I created using Suitcase Ruby from 

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps .

I was so excited a couple weeks ago I entered on of Sparkles challenges

but I forgot to link it up to her post duh!!! Not this time, 

no way will I make the same mistake! 

This Week Sparkle Creations Challenge wants to see 

"Anything Spring" (I used bright colors) plus today is "Freebie Friday"  so if you hop over

I think Ruby is so cute with her look of quandary

"so many places to explore where shall I start?" 

I wanted to add a bit of sparkle so I added silver Stickles

to the tips of the pink waxy flax and to the center of her flower.

The DP also has shiney glittery accents that the camera

didn't pick up! I hate that. What are ya gonna do?
