Tape, not just for mouths anymore...

***Second Posting today please scroll down for more

Hello all it's the 15th and that means it time for another product highlight! Today I am so excited to share another terrifically Torendi product, it's the OPP Tape- Good Luck. I just love the design elements on this tape as well as the fact it's not completely opaque so if you want some background influence peaking through it's a go!

I went with this thought while creating this lo of my son. I framed the smaller pictures with two strips of the tape, you can see the texture of the paper as well as the the raised corner from the pictures, I think its a great touch!  Not to mention it was one of the quickest layouts I've ever created!

This second creation I opted not to have any background influence so I merely affixed the tape to white card stock. I focused on the buildings because I find them so fascinating. I fussy cut for a while to get an ample amount of images to cover a card stock heart.I snuck in a few bears too, just couldn't resist! I am going to miss that striped ribbon as I used it up, it's from the Haute Boxed- Elle Ribbon and it's on Sale!

My final example focused on the airplanes, you get so much tape per roll you can use it to whatever your liking and know there is plenty left for tomorrow so you can B Happy! Well that's all for now I hope you were inspired to try something new and please if you create something that you think will "stick" let us know we'd love to see! Beth

What a heat wave...

Oh just the thought of summer of course is too good to be true but we can bring warm thoughts and a challenge to put some Summer fun in the air. The Paper Cutz challenge this week is to make a creation with a Summer or beach theme! I was reminiscing with pictures of my children from about six years ago eating ice cream SWEET! I just had to make a quick LO for these pictures:

Well now it's your turn to heat things up, cant wait to see what you come up with! Beth aka BR-T

It's been some time now since I have completed a Sugar Bowl Challenge but I was able to sneak in some time today to work on this card they have a great sketch this week and as an added challenge they want something new. I have had this stamp for a while but this is the first time I have ever used it so I hope that's new enough!

Finally some challenges!

Happy Tuesday I hope you all had a crafty weekend! My beloved children are back in school it was time! I wish I could be more of a home schooling type but it's simply not in me... I may or may not regret this when my children grow older but I need ample me time and to be left alone.
I created a card for several challenges:

Isn't Flower Lili from Inky Impressions just the cutest? I sure think so and she so fun to color with all the detailing involved. I just received her so she is a part of the Cute Card Thursday challenge # 94 of using something new. I based the sketch from Get Sketchy # 20, the Cupcake Craft Challenge wants us to Go Girlie and the Corrosive Challenge Blog wants distressing, Well that about wraps it up, have a wonderful day! Freezing Friday!

I am so not exaggerating we're in the negatives folks and with the wind chill ouch! My kiddos are home another day so I am wondering how many snow days they have left...

I am so excited about today because it's time for our first Paper Cutz Challenge of the year! We want to see your cards using Red, Green, Black and White! This color combo screams Christmas to me but I tell you I am not ready to think about Christmas cards.  February I vowed to join Sparkles Christmas cards challenges to get ahead for this years Christmas! Since I declined on Christmas, I figured the best choice would be a Valentine's day card. Here is my creation:

I used my sweet Calliope Ketto and some scraps from some background paper I created some time ago. I came across these fun rub ons  for the side border and the sentiment. Finally for the white hearts, they are from Heidi Grace called Valentine's Day. I love this stamp set! Well I am so excited to see your first creations for this year so see you over at Paper Cutz! Winter Wonderland.

What a winter! My kiddos just went back to school after 2 weeks out and I just a call that school will be closed tomorrow! They will be quite pleased to say the least when I don't wake them however as kids goes they will most likely wake up earlier than usual.
So are you ready for a new challenge from Inky Impressions? It just so happens to be an amazing sketch created by the ever so talented Dominique.

Here is my creation:

I used the image called Ice Skating Rachel isn't she fun? I colored her with Prismacolor Markers, I love these markers I realize most feel Copics are where it's at however they are made over seas so I am going for local. Speaking of made in the USA these stamps from Inky Impressions are born right here in the states how awesome is that!  Now don't get me wrong I have plenty-o-stamps made else where, there are so many wonderful companies...
Anyhow I had a great time creating this card and I tried to give the illusion of her skating around the cat by using that fun cut from Cricuts Wild Card cartridge. The patterned paper is K&Company and the card stock a mix of Close To My Heart and Hobby Lobby Brand. I sanded the buttons to expose some of the white and used my Spellbinders Winter Wonderland for creating the snowflakes. Well that about wraps it up, make sur to stop by Inky Impressions Challenges to scope out the rest of the Inkettes amazing creations. Have a wonderful Wednesday! Beth

Unscripted Sketches wishes you the Best year ever!!!

Welcome to Unscripted's Sketches New Years blog Hop! I do feel saddened with the passing of each year however with the dawning of the New Year it's like pressing a restart button to life! We get the opportunity to review ourselves from the past and perhaps decide a new course or not...
My husband informed me that the New Years moon was a Blue Moon not that it was blue in color so I'm not certain how the name was derived. It was a full moon, the second full moon of the month which happens every few years and to have it on New Years happens about every 20 years or so pretty cool eh? We enjoyed time with our families and ate from a wonderful spread. On our way home we stopped at the famously well lit house of the area and enjoyed the lights keeping time with a local radio station, I wonder what the electric bill is like? After we got the kiddos snug as bug in their beds we stole away to watch Paranormal Activities it was so freaky I couldn't go to sleep forever and my husband ran up and down the stairs jumping into bed like a child. It's hard to believe what an impact a film can leave on one's mind!
I hope I have given off a more positive impact to each of you who take the time to visit me and my goal is to be better about leaving a few words of encourage to as many as possible!I wanted to end this post by sharing my favorite creations I made this year. I got this idea from Crystal who got it from her friend and so on.
