I finally did it! 

I purchased some Stampotique Originals

and I adore them!

My daughter thinks they are creepy

but she liked this simply made card  none-the-less.

Meet Twinkie I love how playful he is!

Stampotique has a challenge this week to Use Red, Yellow and orange

while CAS-ual Fridays wanted a 4x9 card.

I like how this turned out and can't wait to play with Twinke some more!

Happy Friday! I recently discovered a great sketch

I love this princess she's a Tiddly Inks creation, 

by the way, the Tiddly Inks Challenge is to use a tag

or ticket tag on your creation. 

I feel one can never have enough birthday cards, 

I mean there is a birthday everyday...right?

Today I will have the joy of taking my

boys to the pool, I am thrilled to know they can swim. 

It's been a long haul but they have come far.

My daughter will be spending time with her Grandma,

they'll be painting together! The county fair is 

coming up so I hope the paint will be dry for submission.

Good Afternoon I have a quick post to share 

a CAS card its a bit strange but what the hey!
I played along with this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch:

 Here's my card:

This card features all the inchies from the
Doodle Factory's Creature set.
This was my first purchase from Starving Artistamps
I want so many other sets but then I look at all the stamps I own
and know I must wait....
It's hard to tell by this photo however the inner circle is
lowest and each outer circle steps up a bit.
Well that's it for today!

I decided it was time to bust out my favorite
white ink on black card stock technique, I will never tire of this look.
I hope everyone is having an amazing summer, I am outside all the time
so that is why my blog and visits are rather lacking.
Believe it or not school is just around the corner and hopefully after
that I will be a better blogger...fingers crossed!

I missed the photo op of a lifetime I suspect

it was the most amazing double rainbow....

 I raced home last night to take these amazing clouds however:

Delight in Everything

Now I know it's not so easy to find delight in everything,

but at the moment, I find only delight in my yard.

My mother-in-law gave me two lovely koi  and they 

spawned so now I have 20 baby koi and that makes me happy!

I found the cutest baby snake love them! 

 I have a pretty good 

population of Praying Mantis which are my all

time favorite predator insect.

My husband had a swarm off honey bee's 

move into an empty hive he had in the backyard

these normally cost about $100.

Thanks to the bees, the cucumbers and cantaloupe

 are going gangbusters!!!

Life is great!

I have a card to share using an old 

Close to My Heart stamp set:

It's pretty simple so I added some bling

for added interest.

So,when is the last time you have laughed so hard

you thought your gut was going to bust?

It has been ages for me...that is not to say  I haven't had 

a good therapeutic release here and there.

Oh well I guess I'll have to give my card stitches instead.

I thought it would be different to add more emphasis around the 

sentiment with the stitching. I didn't like how the seams started and ended 

so to clean it up a bit I added the bitty brads.

Well today we are off to school exams and then hitting the pool.

I am excited for you to meet Kali  and Kai from Hawaii, 

these two are part of the World Kids Collection:

Kali is such a sweetie in her fun grass skirt!

I realize not everything has to match but the button and twine 

did this time...how you ask? 

I found a pale green button and colored it with the

alcohol based marker I used to color her skirt. 

I used the same technique for the twine as well.

Kai is one cool dude ready to take on the waves.

I also colored the silver backed dew drops to match his trunks.

Do you like the corner treatments? 

I am under the impression Hawaii rains for a few minutes every day

which is a good thing since their soil doesn't retain water very well.

The black details remind me of a tattoo I could envision

 as a wrap around a surfers arm. 

Yes, I really thought this out for once!
