Witch Stix...

Yesterday was my kiddos school Halloween Party, I was signed up to bring a treat. My mom was the best room mother hands down and when she came to my school with the treats for our parties I always beamed with pride...MOM YOU WERE AND ARE THE BEST!!!!!!
I wanted to make my kiddo's to beam so I thought long and hard and came up with these:

Now I will admit these were super time consuming, but I feel I figured out how to smooth out most of the bumps, so next time it will be way more enjoyable. If you want the recipe as well as the directions to make this as easy as possible you can email me at itsabrtatgmail.com. I will be glad to mail them to you!

Orange & Bown equals Pink?

Yep that's right at Ella's Pink Scrapbook Challenge # 27 we want to see the colors Orange and Brown. Now I'll be the first to admit I wasn't jumping up and down over this palette. However when all was said and done I was quite pleased with my results.

This picture is from out adventures at the Roca Berry Pumpkin Patch, we had the best time ever! This photo was originally color but scream sepia for the challenge. ?The fun border is from the  QuicKutz Contemporary border. I rather fancy the remnants over the intended cut, there is something to be said about negative space.
Well thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the dt creations here.

Another Birthday Card....

Happy Tuesday, hopefully  you've  all recovered from Monday Mayhem. I go through it every Monday with my kiddos. Today I have another Birthday Card to share using Jade from TGF Roll Call Kit.

She is my favorite image from the kit, I have a confession to make I have several of each image all colored up just waiting  for their turn to be positioned on a card. They are all just staring at me from their clear sleeves, I feel so guilty!
Do you like the square button with the stars? I actually drew those on using a Souffle pen by Sakura. I also want to mention the fabulous die cut of Contemporary flourishes from Quick Kutz I love it  but I always avoided the 12 inch long dies because I didn't want to have to buy the 12 in. platform and cutting mat with no place to store them.... guess what? You don't need them! I just ran 1/2 of the die through and carefully repeated the run with the second 1/2! So how about those two tips for Tuesday hmmmm.... perhaps I'll find two more tips for next Tuesday, just don't bank on it folks, I'm as flighty as a kite who lost it's tail! Thanks for stopping by!

YNS Challenge # 27

Happy Wednesday!!! I want to say wow on all the amazing creations on  your own flowers challenge, I could almost smell them! This week at Your Next Stamp Challenge blog we want to see some negativity! No not the evil, wicked, mean & nasty kind, we want nicely negative, in other words a white image stamped on dark card stock. Now lets just say you don't have a super powerful white pigment based white ink pad I did a few techniques of other supplies for substitutions:

This technique is using an Embossing Ink with a White EP:*******************************

This technique is using an Embossing Ink with a clear Embossing Powder, and the brayering on black ink. You have to go over the image when done brayering with tissue to get excess ink off:
*****************************

Finally this is white acrylic paint. You need to paint it out really thin on a plastic surface and then treat it like a stamp pad. Might I suggest you wash of your stamps right away. As long as it's not a foam pad if you are forced to let the paint dry onto your stamp with a little scrubbing it will come off:
******************************
There are many other alternatives as well use your imaginations!

Here is my card using Cute Witch Ellie her Kitty

Your Next stamp offers 2 fabulous prizes for you to win:
1. Winner – one lucky winner, chosen by random.org, will win $10 in YNS Stamp Bucks (to spend on YNS stamps) and the Winner Blinkie to proudly display on their blog!

2. Top Pick – one lucky entry, chosen by Karen, will win $5 in YNS Stamp Bucks (to spend on YNS stamps) and the Top Pick Blinkie to proudly display on their blog! [NB You must use a YNS stamp on your creation to be eligible to win the Top Pick prize].

We’d love to see you use a YNS stamp on your challenge card/creation, but if you don’t have one, then you can still join in and be entered into the prize draw! As our challenge runs for 2 whole weeks you have plenty of time to hop on over to the YNS Store and pick up some of these cuties yourself! And if you do use a YNS stamp on your challenge card/creation, you’ll be entered into the prize draw TWICE and be entered into the Top Pick draw – that’s 3 chances to win!

Oh my gosh aren't the the cutest and let me tell you they scream for bling and sparkle! I somehow found time to create a card for the three main images all totally different from each other.

There are so many challenges this last week to use autumn colors, I think this is a fun play on those challenges! Don't you just love the Three Christmas Trees?  Isn't that patterned paper great? I received this at the scrap fest last week and it's from the line My Friend Birdie by Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker. That ribbon slider was from my hoarding stash...come on you do it too!

This second card with Lili Elf Carrying Tree was great to work with and I really like how the ribbon and buttons frame the image!

My last card uses Betty & Snowman Decorate Tree I love this image!  I came across last years collection of Cosmo Cricket and found this awesome button off the swap table last weekend. What a find!
