it's like insectopia outside...

I have no way to express the amazement going on right now. It must be mating season for the insects because there is a orchestra in my yard! Crickets thousands of them, I don't particularly care for them but I can appreciate their song. Saturdays are wonderful especially the slow paced ones...

Let's check out Unscripted Sketches 21st challenge shall we:

I have been creating so many bright creations I decided to tone it down a bit this week:

I want to thank all of you who take the time to participate in Unscripted Sketches , it really opens our minds for all the amazing interpretations you share! Remember today we will have oodles of ideas to share with you because our DT family has grown and that means more inspiration! It would wonderful if you could take some time to give all these ladies some words of kindness and welcome. And then get out there let go and make something that puts you in US, be Well! Beth

Foggy Friday...

Today I woke to a hazy world, I love the fog though it can be scary some times while driving. My MIL called me saying come see the amazing spider webs so Oscar and I drove on's what we saw:

I then got the chance to create a couple cards, the first is for Pink Elephant sketch # 29. Here is my card:

My next card incorporates the Cuttlebug Spot challenge by using the word "hot". Tiny as it may be the word "hot" is one the newlyweds License plate. I also used Midnight Madness sketch of the week. Here is my card:

I hate to post and run however I need to feed my family before they turn into an angry mob! Don't forget to stop by Unscripted Sketches tomorrow and scope out our new DT members as well as a fantastic new sketch! Beth

I love you guys...

I want you all to know you are fantastic and your creations are so wonderful! We are so unique yet we share a passion so amazing... a gift! We are all truly blessed...

I created a relatively simple card to hit on several challenges out there:

The challenges this card hit are Creative Inspirations with the stitching(they didn't say it had to be good!) Penny's Challenges requesting the use of Flourishes, The Secret Crafter wants to see Torquoise & Brown and finally we can toss in Pile It On wanting three of something my card has 3 colors and 3 styles of stitching.

I hope everyone is having a great day and if your having a not-so-much day we have these days to appreciate the great days! Be Well! Beth

pink that is! Caardvarks wants to the colors of their sponsors logo which happen to be Hot Pink, Black & White. Now don't get me wrong I like the color pink but I'm uncomfortable using it! I just tossed it up to fate and just let things happen, and did they happen:

I stamped Dream on it probably because my brain is telling me that is what I should be doing! I am going to listen to my brain so good night or good morning which ever you prefer! Beth aka BR-T

I flipped the sketch a couple of ways and really am pleased with the end result, I hope you like it too! Have a good night, Beth aka BR-T

blow me down...

my cards that is! It is windy today and it took forever to take pictures of these cards of course the clouds didn't help but it's cool outside so I am glad for all of it!
I went back to Stamps and Smiles for a sketch challenge they are a very encouraging crew. I don't know about you but when I do a creation for another challenge site I really appreciate feedback from their designers. I try my best to comment on every submission for US sometimes I fail and for that I am sorry! With that being said, check out Stamps and Smiles sketch # 29:

Her is my take:

I wanted to share something I discovered, I love Close to My Heart card stock, it has a white core which is rockin for distressing however when I was running it through the Cuttlebug embossing folders it came out with little tears. I played around and configured a new stack: Start with the A plate, then C plate, embossing folder, and then add one tan rubber mat from spellbinders. You will get a perfect embossing every time! If this is old news well, I always was a day late and a dollar short!

I happened by chance to a sight called Artful Inkables and they are having their first ever challenge to use Red, White and black. Now I think we can all agree these colors look so great together! Here is my take:

Thanks for stopping by I hope your day is blessed! Beth aka BR-T

I stopped over at CuttleBug Spot and thought their new sketch was amazing so I went to work on it straight away. I also used The Pink Elephants challenge of using the colors brown. turquoise and neutral for a card.

There must be some butterfly madness in the air because I've been seeing them all over! Here is my tribute to the wonderful world of butterflies...

PS should I panic? I had a wonderful list of people I follow and my dashboard says I am not following anyone however I still see my picture on their list of followers.
