This will be my last post...

of the year! Gotcha!!! I have missed you all so much but my children have been on winter break, and with the holidays, I've been keeping busy!  I hope your Christmas was as wonderful as mine and this new year the best to date!  Speaking of the New Year I have been diligently working on the Greeting Farms 12 Days of Sketches for a chance to win the entire January release how awesome wold that be! Today I would love to share days 1 & 2:

I don't know about you but I love these stamps because of their ease to color plus they are so adorable! Do you like that grey ricrac? I love it first and formost because it's from many moons ago when our goods were made good in the USA. Back then it was 10 cents for 6 yards! Ok here is the best part there is a gaurantee that if this product is faulty in any way they will reimburse you for the cost of labor and materials on which it was applied...what happened to US?

Lets get bck to cheery thoughts shall we? If you want a chance to win the new January release from TGF head on over th their sight to get the details. I am off to bed but will be playing catch up tomorrow to visit all my blog pals...

This week at Inky Impressions Challenges we'd like to see you incorporate embossing (you choice) along with some glitter or flocking. I used the awesome  digi stamp again how could I not after all! For my embossing I chose my Swirls folder and glittered up the ornaments with Prisma glitter though it was hard to capture. Here is my card:

I hope you stop by Inky Impressions Challenges to share your take on this great challengeas well as viewing the rest of the Inkettes  fantastic creations! Have a terrific day! Beth aka BR-T

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! Unscripted sketch # 36

As it should be with only 6 days left til Christs Birthday! Today wewill be visiting yet another Santa through Bills work, it's the Kids Christmas Party courtesy of Pfizer. Before I get to Unscripted Sketch I want to share some pictures with you. Last Sunday we had a wintry fog it was really bizarre, it did however create the most beautiful white glistening trees ever! These photos are several days later but still stunning to me!

It was pretty cool taking these because it was warming up and you could hear all the crackling of the ice as is was falling off the branches. I also want to share my families snow man it's not a fat rolly polly fellow it's a long stretch out fella!

My kids were proud and apparently Igor (our dog) was too! I bet he can't wait to add some color tomorrow morning!!!

Ok now onto this weeks Unscripted Sketch # 36, again by the brilliant mind of SarahKaye! I made humble thank you/Christmas gift this year for all the kids teachers, they deserve way more! Here is one of the bags I decorated using the sketch, it's a wretched photo but I wasn't used to working with something so tall!

I created my own handles for the first two bags then after that I decided the twisted whatever-you-call-it looked ok after all! I really lik this tree, it's from a very old long since retired Close To My Heart set called Designer Christmas. I had fun with this sketch and wish I would have photographed all 6 bags but I lost to father time! I hope you have time to play along this week too! Beth aka BR-T

Spotlight on Linen Ribbon...

Hello! I am so excited because today I have the opportunity to show you some new takes on a product we all love... ribbon! This Shinzi Katoh Designs Torikago Linen Ribbon is wonderful because it's a natural fiber which is very appealing to me and it goes perfectly with any of the Earth Love paper line by Cosmo cricut found in the Joy Kit both avaolable at the Torendi store.  With Christmas stirring around in the back of my mind I couldn't resist an ornament.

Not what you were expecting? That's the best selling point for me with Torendi's products they ease the transition of pushing the envelope! This wonderful ribbon screamed "Modernize Me!" so I was compelled to do so.This was a breeze to create: Cut a bunch (my very technical term for a lot!) of 1 1/2 circles. Again I chose this awesome patterned paper by Cosmo Cricut from the Earth Love line and black card stock from American Craft which is supplied in the kits avail at the store (colors may vary!). I also cut seven 2 inch circles from some red card stock from my scrap heap and punched out a 1 1/2 cicle from them making sure they were off center. Now for the fun part I broke out my hot glue gun to affix all the smaller circles in no particular order to tired old ornament and then looped some ribbon around the larger circles and affixed them as well. Below is a detail shot of the wonderful image on the linen:

For my next creation I wanted to show you something that got me really excited, because this is a naural fiber you can emboss it how cool is that? I wanted to create a precious object with the remainer of my ribbon so by framing it on my card I was able get this point across.

Here is a close-up of the embossed ribbon:

To emboss the ribbon simply rub the edges onto an embossing ink pad and the dip into embossing powder I choose a copper color. You will have to repeat several times on each side to get the result from this card. I hope you are left with some craft for thought and be sure to check out all of the stunning linen Ribbon Torendi has to offer in the Embellishment section! Have a fantastic day! Beth aka BR-T

Well it's Saturday and you know what that means....Unscripted Sketches is back with a crazy amazing sketch!

Here is my card using SarahKaye's sketch:

Isn't this digi darling it's from Pollycraft called Cherry Kisses Snowball, it's free!!! One technique I thought I could share is embossing your brads. I placed each of the silver snowflakes under my craft heat gun and when I knew they were hot I dipped them into snow white embossing powder. The powder semi melts and then I finish it of with the heat gun. Well that's all for now I hope your weekend is fantastic!
