Halloween In July Bloghop!

The day is finally here, it is the Tiddly Inks Challenge Halloween Blog Hop.

Halloween is my second favorite holiday next to Jesus Birthday I hope that's not some sort of oxymoron! Tiddly Inks is celebrating a blog hop celebration of  Halloween! I chose to use Batty she is so cute with her pet or is it a balloon? Here is my spooky? creation:

The blog hop will run until Saturday, July 24th at 6 PM. We will have a wrap-up "party" on July 24 in the Tiddly Inks PCP Group from 6 PM to 10 PM CST. Stop in and chat with the design team in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Pixie Dust Studio Challenge

I don't know about you but I love, love, love receiving gift cards! A few may feel they are so impersonal however in completely removes that uncomfortable moment of  "What is this and how could they have possibly believed I needed it?"  or "Oh crap, they're looking at me, just smile & perhaps they won't notice your disappointment!" Perhaps I am just shallow, ok I am! My love of gifts cards will come handy this week, The Pixie Dust Studio Challenge is to Create A Gift Card Holder.

I used Kathy's adorable Santa's Surprise and recycled a pillow box that once contained ribbon. Running the container through my Cuttlebug using the snowflake embossing folder, added some interest.  I then added a clear snowflake that I have had  for quite some time & a few dewdrops. Do you recognize the tree? Yep it's from the Christmas Cheer cartridge.

Ella's Pink Scrapbook Challenge # 17

 Hello all! It's time for a great themed challenge at Ella's Pink Scrapbook It's Memorabilia - Scrap those ticket stubs, brochures, you know all the stuff you pick up while on vacation. Here is my layout using Torendi's newest kit "Travel Time". I love this Cosmo Cricket Line Joy Ride it's loads of fun! You may also noticed I used those fun Nerdy Flag Banners by Sassafras.

If you click on the picture you may be able to see my experimentation of semi wrapping the designer paper around by picture for a different look. So how will you display all those papers you may be wondering why were once so crucial to collect? We'd so love to see! Beth

Pixie Dust Studio Sneak Peek!

Yeah it's a great day! I am so excited to share with you one of the cute digis from Kathy's new release The Nutcracker. The entire collection will be available in the Pixie Dust Studio on Tuesday! I am sharing the cutest Sugarplum Fairy I just love her! I had huge plans to color her is lovely pinks until I stopped by Pam Sparks Blog yesterday she created the most amazing card and her image look as if it's a charcoal drawing WOW! Now there is no way I could work at such a level however I decided to use what gray scale I had to color her in.

Pixe Dust Studio Challenge!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas who cares if it's 90+ degrees outside! Today at the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge we want to see your Christmas cards using the traditional colors Forest Green, Cranberry and Ivory. I was really stumped on this card because I haven't used these colors for a Christmas card in years then bam!  A tiny thought emerged and I created this card in no time:

 

I was so excited to be able to use one of the new images Goody Gumdrops from the soon to be released The Nutcracker! Of Course I just now realized I spelled Goody wrong on my card! OOOPS!!!  Gotta laugh it off!

   Hello I am sorry today's posts are late, I am having a heck of a time with my computer!

I had the best time with this sketch and love my final project:

 

I tried a new technique for me by embossing a lower portion of the photo, sanding it off then rubbing my ink pad over the swirls.  What do you think? I hope you can play along this week! Beth aka BR-T

Our newest member!

For the record I have been staving off this moment for many years now but as of late resistance became futile...we now own a puppy Collie he is adorable! I believe my husband wants to name him Avon after a character from The Wire who just happened to be a criminal mind behind the show, don't ask! So now we own Igor our soon to be an eleven year old Collie and the Puppy. Oh le's not forget about Epifany who is none to impressed check her out after their initial intro:

Where are her ears? LOL! One had to scoff as she clung to her Ninja stance while all the while her little kitty bell tinkled away.

As for Igor I believe he wants to love this new puppy and they will become great friends here are some pictures of them together:
