Pixe Dust Studio Challenge!

***second posting today, scroll down for Ella's Pink Scrapbook challenge

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas who cares if it's 90+ degrees outside! Today at the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge we want to see your Christmas cards using the traditional colors Forest Green, Cranberry and Ivory. I was really stumped on this card because I haven't used these colors for a Christmas card in years then bam!  A tiny thought emerged and I created this card in no time:

I was so excited to be able to use one of the new images Goody Gumdrops from the soon to be released The Nutcracker! Of Course I just now realized I spelled Goody wrong on my card! OOOPS!!!  Gotta laugh it off!

Well I hope you can play along! Beth aka BR-T

Ellas's Pink Scrapbook Challenge # 16...

Hello I am sorry today's posts are late, I am having a heck of a time with my computer!
Now on to this week's challenge at Ella Pink Scrapbook, we have another combo challenge for you, a sketch and a color combo. For the challenge we want to see your layouts using the colors Pink, Hot Pink, Green & Black along with this sketch:
ThePink+ScrapBook-Sketch#5+copy

I had the best time with this sketch and love my final project:

I tried a new technique for me by embossing a lower portion of the photo, sanding it off then rubbing my ink pad over the swirls.  What do you think? I hope you can play along this week! Beth aka BR-T

Our newest member!

For the record I have been staving off this moment for many years now but as of late resistance became futile...we now own a puppy Collie he is adorable! I believe my husband wants to name him Avon after a character from The Wire who just happened to be a criminal mind behind the show, don't ask! So now we own Igor our soon to be an eleven year old Collie and the Puppy. Oh le's not forget about Epifany who is none to impressed check her out after their initial intro:

Where are her ears? LOL! One had to scoff as she clung to her Ninja stance while all the while her little kitty bell tinkled away.

As for Igor I believe he wants to love this new puppy and they will become great friends here are some pictures of them together:

And finally here are a couple of Avon to melt your hearts:

This last photo is so cute I love his floppy ears too bad they lose them over time, I could weight them down but I think I'd rather let it be all natural. Thanks for stopping by! Beth aka BR-T

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge!

Happy Thursday to you all! Well last night was my daughters last game of the season, it's a glad sad moment...mostly glad! Another glad moment was finding the tiniest smidge of time to create this card for The Pixie Dust Studio Challenge. All month Pixie Dust Studio will be bringing you Christmas in July.  This week we have a great sketch for you to use.  The twist is that your card should be Christmas themed.

Kathy sent out some darling Christmas images available at The Pixie Dust Studio Shop today. I just love Tinsel the Gnome, so I made a mad dash to get this card created!

I downloaded this fantastic digi paper free from The Craft Table blog to complete this piece. I would love to buy more digi papers but I don't want to pay all the fees required to make cards for sale so I am thinking I had better get to work on creating some of my own...someday!

This card is entered into a few other challenges:
Frosted Designs  Stars & Stripes & Red White & Blue
Aly's Sunday Challenge  Red, White & Blue
Pile it On  My Favorite Things (it seems to be buttons lately)
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge  7 of something (Buttons)

Well there you have it and we'd love to see your Christmas in July Creations! So stop by and play along! Beth aka BR-T

Give us your Red,Whites & Blues

Hello and Happy July 1st to you! I don't know how it is at your homes,  it's almost better Christmas around here with all the Snap, Crackle and Pop...too bad my poor doggy hates it  so!

At Ella's Scrapbook Challenge # 14 we have a sketch and color theme this week:

Now give this great sketch a color scheme of Red White and Blue and you are on your way to creating you very own one of a kind creation!  You have to check out the rest of the teams work it's amazing! Jenn, Angela, Sarah, Mary, Beatriz, Tina, Fern, Jennifer &Kimmy. Here is mine

Do any of you recognize what I used to frame my sons photo? Yep it's those plastic decorative clips that Close To My Heart sold ages ago. I bought a bunch and never could figure out what to do with them.I colored these with my Prismacolor Markers, ran them through various embossing folders and cut them up It's a shame these are discontinued! So tell me, if you own these what did you do with them? Heck why not put them on this weeks challenge?!?  See ya soon! Beth
