Where have all my flowers gone?

Every year I mutter these words even though I already know the answer...This weeks challenge #26  at Your Next Stamp Challenges is perfect for anyone else suffering the pangs of flower loss. We'd love for you to create your own flowers. I was really excited about this however I couldn't decide what materials I was going to use. At the last moment, my kitty decided for me as I caught her playing with my black hemp.  Here is my card:

This flower was pretty easy for each petal I used three strands of hemp with one a bit longer than the other. I then glued the ends together creating a petal.  I repeated this step 6 more times and then glued all the petals together. I then topped off with a braded button not only for interest but for concealing the gooey mess behind the button.  Yippee Fhiona. seems especially happy on this card and that makes me especially happy!
I can't wait to see how you create your lovely flowers!

I have a few challenges for this card:
There she Goes  Picture Inspiration
Creative Card Crew  Flowers
Practical Scrapper  Stamps
Paper Romance  Create your Own flowers
Pear Tree Designs  Celebrate
One Stitch at A Time  Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes  Things with wings
Scrappy Frogs  Make Your Own Flowers
