OK though I do not personally own any Clear Dollar Stamps I think they are really fabulous and this is no way an oxymoron! I just cannot keep up with all the rockin product I come across...sigh. Anyhow I thought perhaps I could win some freebies by taking a chance for the July Guest Designer Spot you never know!
So here is the great sketch that ClearlyiStamp has created, you can flip and rotate and substitute shapes and embellish to your liking however they want the paneling and such to stay pretty consistent.
I wanted to create something that really expressed me as a person: Obsessive Compulsive! Masking is a great way to stamp so I did an entire 12 x 12 sheet of card stock, I've only done this one other time on white card stock so I thought I'd try color this time. I thought I'd introduce some white via a gel pen.
I also utilized some liquid applique, my Cuttle Bug folders and Spellbinders die cuts plus my handy dandy scissors to create this card. After adding a few brads and some glitter this card felt "finished". Well I'm off to submit this and best wishes to the rest of you who are entering! Beth aka BR-T

chocolate and orange...
TandaStamps Teasers # 104 wants cards with chocolate and orange and quite a while back I did something similar to this card with some fun modifications...
Gift challenges...
I'm calling this post as such because these are gifts I gave Saturday evening for a family friend.
Truly Scrumptious sketch #10 is terrific it also has the twist of using up stuff you forgot you had, I took this as an opportunity to go back into the abyss and use scraps, my goal is to longer have a scrap bag...
The Secret Saturday Crafter Challenge blog wants pretty packaging. I made some sour cherry jam on Friday and it is so good! I felt I could part with a jar as a gift but I didn't just want to give her a jar. I placed the jam in a cellophane bag cut some strips of Tulip card stock and stamped and cut out some floral images and placed these in the bag to dress it up. I labeled the bag with the contents using the same patterned paper as the above card to tie it all together.

Unscripted # 12
Good Morning all and Happy Saturday to you! I have exciting news for you, I am now nationally recognized as an Emergency Medical Technician, how cool is that! This all started when my husband and I realized there was a need for volunteer EMTS in our town especially women. We thought lets do it but about halfway through the course I was like this is nuts, I am just a volunteer what was I thinking wanted to quit and all that negative stuff! Well thankfully I got past the hump and I am quite proud of my husband and I!
I love this new Unscripted Sketch it's open to anything you can possibly imagine or create blindly which is my method of choice...
This card was created because I happened upon some old stash that I won at Scrap booking retreat it had a lot o die cuts which I rarely work with but I decided I was going to force myself to use these babies up. I started off using a base of coordinating patterned paper and layered with a neutral card stock after stamping it with flourishes and simple sentiments. I really like the die cut that was a twig this was my favorite and initially I had the three charms dangling down hanging from the hemp, I liked this look but something inside told me to rotate so I did. I used a corner rounder on all the corners of the layered center piece and stamped the sentiment. I added a few brads and the last parenthesis from the die cuts and sanded the edges and inked others. I used pop up strips for dimension and well, that's just about it...
I hope you can stop by and join the fun! Have a awesome day! BR-T

Vacation was so fun, yet it's great to be home....
All I can say is I had a blast at Lake Okoboji, I jet skied so much my muscles ache it was so awesome! I rarely got on the computer and posted nothing because I forgot the appropriate usb cable for my camera so this is why my Unscripted Sketch # 11 posting is off a day...
Isn't this sketch terrific! I love it...
HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!! Being a father is a challenge for sure so a big solute to those of you who stepped up to the plate and the rest of you who just chose to be sperm donors, your loss indeed! I'm still infatuated with my doodle charms and quite frankly I could still create 7 more cards with characters I not yet used. I am really looking forward to seeing what the rest of you come up with but perhaps tomorrow,I am pooped and VBS starts tomorrow bright and early...

Unscripted Sketches # 10
Happy Saturday! I have no clue as to where last week went but alas it is forever gone... Of course that means Unscripted Sketches # 10 is here for you to play oh yeah! My example is very crazy firstly I started off with the color orange which is a hard color for myself to tackle. I can honestly say there was no vision for this card, I set to work cutting and stamping and embellishing and more stamping til a little voice inside said ENOUGH ALREADY I realize my images appear warped it's the ole fish eye lens I can't stop playing with it!
I did one more for the sketch just for the heck of it... I am so excited to see what you all come up with!

Playing with my toys...
Ok I have wanted a new camera forever, mind you there is nothing wrong with my camera
granted it's only 4 mega pixels but the images turn out nicely. I'm not sure how I stumbled upon it, however I discovered even though my camera isn't an SLR I can still get lenses for fun effects at a fraction of the cost. So for my birthday this year that is what I requested. I realize I am no pro but I am pleased non the less!

Unscripted Sketches # 9
This is the day, a day like no other; a new era of Unscripted Sketches with three new designers : Sarah, Aymee and Keri Lee these girls make some of the most amazing creations surely to inspired all who view their art! Welcome aboard we are so lucky to have you!
This weeks sketch is a great one because I struggled with it on a bizarre level! I made several attempts, finally I chose a patterned paper and went from there. Dont you just love Yapples? I think he's cute perhaps a bit of a freak-a-zoid but cute none-the-less. He's a Doodle Factory stamp I love all of them! I stamped him onto patterned paper and used the Souffle pen on his eyes and teeth for more character. The set comes with a mini Yapples which I stamped using white ink all around the black frame. The frame was cut out with the Cricut using the Wild Card cartridge. I also stamped mini-yaps onto a few buttons using black Stazon, I love that stuff! After assembling the card I felt it needed something so I opened up my scrap bag and found some yellowish scraps stamped again with mini-yaps as well as Happy Birthday. When I affixed this these to the card, rather then flat down onto the card I forced them to pop up in the center for dimensionality. I punched out a circle and quartered it and affixed to the corners of the card and finally added some brads.
So now that you've seen what we came up with go crazy , have some fun and explore the realms of possibility and remember it's only paper! BR-T

king for a day...
The Pink Elephant has a Recipe Challenge for this recipe you must use:3 buttons, 2 layers and 1 sentiment pretty fun huh? I decided it was high time to use Melville from the Doodle Factory Creatures collection, basically I chose the stamp and built the card around the image.
